Richard Whitehead (b.1967) grew up in Yorkshire. He graduated from Nottingham Trent University (1990) with a B.A. (Hons)in Photography and from Bolton University(2009) with an MA in Photography.

As a photo-journalist Richard's photographs have been widely published in National and International journals. He has also exhibited his portraiture at the National Portrait Gallery, The Midlands Arts Centre,The Royal Photographic Society, Birmingham Museum Services and Sheffield City Art Gallery.

Currently he is a practitioner and senior lecturer in Photography at Cleveland College of Art & Design
